On a street in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, 21-year-old Alberto Monteiro-Pires, a Black male, was fatally shot in the early evening of Tuesday, September 5, 2017. The incident occurred in the vicinity of 152 Washington Street, where police responded to a report of a person shot at approximately 6:09 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Monteiro-Pires suffering from a gunshot wound.
