Rodney D. Reed, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically lost to gun violence on May 1, 2017, in Park Forest, Illinois. Born on November 18, 1991, in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, Rodney was remembered by those who knew him as a kind-hearted, down-to-earth individual with a good sense of humor. He was hardworking and valued success, deeply cherishing his family and friends. Rodney attended Crete-Monee High School and furthered his education at Alcorn State University.
