Cedron Ellis "Shoota Shellz" Doles, a 21-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on July 10, 2017, in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Doles, a drill rapper known for his controversial lyrics and affiliations with the Black P Stone gang faction called Black Mobb, was targeted in a gang-related shooting. On that fateful morning, as Doles was about to enter his car, three men exited a white Nissan Altima and opened fire, hitting him multiple times in the head and
body. He collapsed in the street, and police recovered 43 shell casings near his body.
The murder of Cedron Doles is believed to be a retaliatory act stemming from ongoing gang violence between Black Mobb and the rival Stone faction No Limit, also known as No Limit 150.
