Damian Hernandez, a 15-year-old boy from Mount Prospect, Illinois, tragically lost his life on August 22, 2023, after sustaining critical injuries from a shooting in unincorporated Palatine. On August 17, Palatine police responded to a call of shots fired and discovered Damian with gunshot wounds to his upper body.
