Johnny Lovett, a 60-year-old African American man from East St. Louis, Illinois, was tragically murdered on November 24, 2017. Lovett, who was born on August 11, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri, was a well-respected member of his community and a long-time member of the Ironworkers Local #392. On the day of his death, Lovett was found in his truck, which had rolled into the woods and caught fire after striking a tree.
