Corey Haggard, a 37-year-old man from Chicago, IL, was fatally shot on December 25, 2017. The incident occurred in the South Loop area of Chicago, where Haggard attempted to rob another man outside a store. The victim, a 31-year-old man with a concealed carry permit, shot Haggard in the chest after Haggard stole his property. Haggard was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:37 p.m. on December 25, 2017.
