Miguel Islas, a 28-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on January 11, 2018, in the Vittum Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of South Cicero Avenue. According to authorities, Islas was involved in an argument with a 19-year-old man named Lewis Pelayo, who also lived in the neighborhood.
