Roosevelt Davis, a 21-year-old African American male from East St. Louis, IL, was tragically killed on April 14, 2018. Davis, a former track star at East St. Louis High School, was shot multiple times outside a gas station in Cahokia, Illinois. He was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. Davis had been a promising athlete, having set school records in the 200m and 400m races and contributing significantly to his high school's track and field program.
