Robert L. James, a 63-year-old retired teacher from Aurora, Illinois, was found dead on April 14, 2018, from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. James, who had worked as a math teacher at West Aurora High School until his retirement in 2014, was facing multiple felony charges related to child pornography. He was accused of producing and possessing pornographic images of children younger than 13, as well as indecent solicitation and sexual exploitation of a child.
