Garfield Taylor Jr., a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on October 19, 2018, in Hazel Crest, Illinois. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 16900 block of Annneta Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Taylor was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead approximately 30 minutes later. An autopsy confirmed that he died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was ruled a homicide.
