Daniel Middaugh, a 22-year-old male from Northbrook, IL, was found dead on February 3, 2019. He was discovered inside his apartment in the 3600 block of Salem Walk, having been fatally shot. The Cook County sheriff’s officers responded to a call reporting shots fired around 10:10 p.m. that evening. Upon arrival, they found Daniel Middaugh with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

examiner’s office. The investigation into his death revealed that he had been shot multiple times, and his death was being treated as a murder case. Despite the efforts of law enforcement, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
Daniel Middaugh was born on February 8, 1996, in Chicago and was formerly of Glenview. He was a graduate of Glenbrook South High School and was employed in the family business, Affordable Hauling. Daniel was also an accomplished Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Julie Middaugh, his brother Jimmy, his sister Natalie, and his grandmother Frances Ray. His grandparents, Ted Ray and Austin & Delight Hellstrom, preceded him in death.
