Charlesquille Ballard, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 15, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. On April 9, 2019, Ballard was walking from a home to his vehicle in the 1500 block of East 72nd Street when he was shot in the chest. He was immediately transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries six days later.
