Jaylon McKenzie, a 14-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 4, 2019, in Venice, Illinois. Jaylon was a promising young football talent who had already garnered national attention for his skills on the field. He had received scholarship offers from the University of Missouri and the University of Illinois and was featured in Sports Illustrated as one of "six teens who will rule the future in sports."
