Cortney Lamonte Foy, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 20, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. Foy was getting into a vehicle around 1 a.m. in the 100 block of North Hermitage Avenue when he was struck by gunfire. Friends rushed him to Rush University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that Foy died from a gunshot wound to his torso.
