Markies Lamont Jones Sr., a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 5, 2019, in Springfield, Illinois. He was born on September 11, 1983, in Springfield and was a dedicated cook at Parkway Cafe for five years. He also worked at IHOP and served as a Dietary Aid at Lewis Memorial in Springfield. Markies was a member of Emmanuel Temple Church of God in Christ.
