Christopher A. Mitchell, a 25-year-old male from Frankfort, IL, was tragically killed in a shooting on July 2, 2019, in Monee, IL. The incident occurred in the 25700 block of South Sunrise Drive, where Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:20 p.m. The Will County Coroner's Office confirmed that Mitchell was the victim of a shooting. A 23-year-old woman, also from Chicago, was seriously injured and taken to the University of Chicago for treatment.
