Oliver Booth, a 37-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on July 5, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. His death occurred during a violent Fourth of July weekend in the city, which saw multiple incidents of gun violence. Oliver Booth was struck in the chest by gunfire during an altercation in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago.
