On August 2, 2019, David E. Novak, a 51-year-old male from Tinley Park, Illinois, was found with a gunshot wound to the back of his head in a construction yard located in the Little Village Industrial Corridor on Chicago's West Side. He was discovered by a witness in the 3300 block of South California Avenue. Following the incident, David was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
