Tory Dukes, a 32-year-old African American man, was found shot to death on September 3, 2019, in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 1:15 a.m. in the 8500 block of South Aberdeen Street and discovered Dukes unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide. There were no reported witnesses to the shooting, and the circumstances ...
