Tyshaun Manning, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on March 15, 2020, in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. when Manning was outside in the 1800 block of North Mobile Avenue. According to authorities, an unknown assailant approached Manning and opened fire, striking him in the side.
Manning was subsequently transported to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 4:45 p.m. An autopsy later confirmed that Manning died from a gunshot wound to his side.
