Wilmer A. Perez Cortez, a 26-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on June 30, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side of Chicago. Wilmer was standing on the sidewalk in the 4000 block of West 26th Street around 3:07 p.m. when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire.
