On October 3, 2020, Danisha D. Combs, a 45-year-old African American woman from East St. Louis, Illinois, was fatally shot. First responders transported her to St. Louis University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:05 p.m. Danisha was a mother of six children.
