Cornell Smith, a 31-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on November 2, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. According to reports, Cornell Smith was in the 300 block of South Cicero Avenue around 7:40 p.m. when he was shot in the hip by a 15-year-old boy. The victim was immediately transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
