Joshua Jones, a 29-year-old African American male, died on October 16, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. His death was the result of a gunshot wound inflicted during an altercation with an off-duty police officer. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the fatal gunshot entered Jones' upper mid-right back and exited through his mid-right chest.
