Ocie Banks Sr., a 79-year-old African American man, was found dead on April 10, 2022, in a senior home located in Uptown, Chicago. His death was the result of multiple gunshot wounds, including shots to the forehead and back. The tragic incident occurred in the Wilson Yard senior home at 1032 W. Montrose Ave., where he was discovered alongside his estranged wife, Sheila Banks, who also suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
