Sherron Sharpe, a 36-year-old African American male from Elgin, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on April 13, 2022, in the parking lot of the Esporta Fitness center located at 400 N. 8th St. in West Dundee. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when Sharpe was struck by gunfire from an unknown assailant. He was pronounced dead at the scene, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
