Cecelia Thomas, a 5-month-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on June 24, 2022, in Chicago, IL. The infant was fatally shot in the head while sitting in the backseat of a car in the South Shore neighborhood. The incident occurred when an unknown vehicle approached and someone inside fired shots at the car Cecelia was in.
