Walter Red Tolbert, a 27-year-old white male, was a Prohibition Agent who tragically lost his life on February 22, 1928, in Columbia County, Georgia. Born in 1901 in South Carolina, Tolbert had joined the Bureau of Prohibition on May 13, 1927. On the day of his death, Tolbert, along with local officers W. S. Harrison and D. T.
