Jason Hampton, a 19-year-old male from Chatham, GA, tragically lost his life on May 30, 1993. He was engaged to 18-year-old Charlye Dixon, and the couple was spending time at a lakeside "lovers' lane" in Ware County when they were attacked. The perpetrator, Billy Daniel Raulerson Jr., approached their vehicle and shot Jason Hampton multiple times with a .22 caliber rifle. Charlye Dixon attempted to flee but was also shot by Raulerson.
