In the late summer of 1993, the community of Toccoa, Georgia, was unsettled by the death of Teresa Ann Wehunt Holcomb. A 37-year-old white woman, often called 'Peg' by those who knew her, she was a resident of Cedar Fork Road. On September 9, 1993, she was pronounced dead at Stephens County Hospital, leaving her family and friends in deep mourning.
