In the winter of 2009, just days before Christmas, the life of a young soldier was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. Clifford Jamar Williams, a 22-year-old African-American male, was fatally shot on December 20, 2009. At the time of his death, Williams was an active U.S. Army soldier, home on a two-week leave from his deployment in Afghanistan. The shooting occurred in the 600 block of S. Wickham Road.
