Richard Slysz, a convenience store clerk, was tragically killed on April 10, 1994, in Thomasville, Georgia. Slysz, a white male, was shot twice in the head during a robbery at the Junior Food Store. He was working the night shift when Ray Jefferson Cromartie, along with accomplices Corey Clark and Thaddeus Lucas, entered the store with the intent to steal beer.
