Antonio Angel Santiago, a 13-month-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on March 21, 2013, in Brunswick, Georgia. The incident occurred during an attempted armed robbery while his mother, Sherry West, was pushing him in a stroller. The assailants, De'Marquise Elkins, 17, and Dominique Lang, 15, confronted West and demanded money. When she refused, Elkins shot Antonio in the face at close range, resulting in his instantaneous death. West was also shot in the leg during the attack.
