In the early morning hours of June 1, 2014, a gathering at a home in Wilkes County, Georgia, where beer and other items were sold, took a fatal turn, ending the life of James Edwards. The man responsible for his death, Nyheim Gartrell, would later be convicted of felony murder in a case that would be upheld by the state's highest court.
