Lt. Matt Fowler, a 31-year-old white male, was found dead on August 22, 2014, in Adairsville, Georgia. Fowler, who served as a lieutenant with the Adairsville Police Department, was discovered inside his unmarked patrol vehicle in an apparent suicide. According to reports, Fowler fatally shot himself while parked in a subdivision near the edge of the city limits.
