David Carter, aged 20, was killed on December 8, 2010, in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred in a particularly violent year for the city, which experienced a significant number of homicides. Carter's body was found in the 3000 block of Baker Street, a residential area of Baltimore that had seen numerous such incidents over the years.
