On September 16, 2016, Devonte Raqualle Johnson, a 24-year-old African American male from East Dublin, Georgia, was tragically shot and killed in Cochran, Georgia. The incident occurred at a party held at the "Community House" near the Cochran campus of Middle Georgia State University. The shooting took place around 12:10 AM, and Johnson was immediately transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
