Nyla Foster, a 21-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on October 22, 2016, in Lithia Springs, Georgia. The incident occurred in a parking lot where Nyla Foster and Shontori Gooden, also a 21-year-old African American woman, got into an argument over a man. The altercation escalated when Gooden retrieved a gun from her car and shot Foster in the thigh.
