Javonte Reed, a 19-year-old African American male from Savannah, Georgia, tragically lost his life on December 11, 2016. Reed was fatally shot on Carter Street following an altercation with another individual. The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene and found Reed with multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
