In the summer of 2017, a quiet street in Waleska, Georgia, became the scene of a tragic event that left two people dead. On the morning of July 7th, deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on Clay Wade Road to conduct a welfare check. A friend of 49-year-old Shawn Porter had become concerned after not hearing from him.
