Richard Thomas Danley, a 53-year-old white male from Ellijay, Georgia, passed away on July 8, 2017. His death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred in a north Georgia mountain community. On the evening of July 8, 2017, Gilmer County sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Richard Thomas Danley deceased from apparent gunshot wounds at the home of Douglas Edwin Pritchett, a 43-year-old white male, also from Ellijay.
