Javion Natavius Cortez Shorter, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 17, 2017, in Columbus, Georgia. Javion was a senior at Kendrick High School and was known for his vibrant personality and aspirations. On the night of his death, he was shot in the arm and abdomen at the Ballard Way Apartments on Hunter Road. Despite being rushed to Midtown Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident.
