Rajesh Mehta, a 45-year-old Indian-American attorney, tragically lost his life on May 9, 2020, in Locust Grove, Georgia. Mehta, who was a senior staff attorney with the Cobb County Magistrate Court, was involved in a fatal incident while reportedly trying to prevent a crime. According to reports, Mehta was forced to drive Terrance Scott, a 29-year-old suspect, to a home in Locust Grove. Upon arrival, Scott shot Mehta multiple times before breaking into the home and holding a woman hostage.
