Rayshard Brooks, a 27-year-old African American man, was fatally shot by Atlanta Police Department (APD) officer Garrett Rolfe on the night of June 12, 2020. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a Wendy's restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. Officers were responding to a complaint that Brooks was asleep in his car in the drive-through lane.
