On May 1, 2022, Justin Fields, a 33-year-old African American male, was found dead in his vehicle at the intersection of Spikes Road and Highway 441 in Pearson, Georgia. Fields had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was immediately classified as a homicide.
