In the early morning hours of May 1, 2022, the community of Pearson, Georgia, was shaken by the discovery of a local man's death. Justin Fields, a 33-year-old male, was found deceased in his vehicle at the intersection of Spikes Road and Highway 441 in Atkinson County. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to lead the inquiry into his death.
