In the late hours of a June evening in Lanier County, Georgia, a burst of gunfire shattered the night and ended the life of 18-year-old Savion McRae. On June 18, 2022, McRae was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on U.S. 221 North when another vehicle pulled alongside and unleashed a volley of shots. The sudden violence of the attack left McRae dead at the scene.
