Savion McRae, an 18-year-old African American male from Douglas, Coffee County, Georgia, tragically lost his life on June 18, 2022, in Lakeland, Lanier County, Georgia. On that fateful night, McRae was traveling back to Douglas with his cousin, Takevion Strozier, and a friend, Tremayne Newton. While driving on Highway 221 North, their vehicle was ambushed by gunfire from another vehicle.
