Death by Force

On March 29, 2013, Khiry Jowers, age 21, was shot and killed in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of East Lanvale Street, where Jowers was found at the rear of a house suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. The shooting took place during a particularly violent period in Baltimore, where homicide rates were climbing, and law enforcement struggled to keep pace with the increasing number of unsolved murders.
