In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Baltimore, the city's persistent struggle with violence claimed another life. On April 10, 2013, Ernest Chambers, a 39-year-old African-American man, was found shot multiple times in the rear of a building on the 800 block of Vine Street. The initial call reporting a shooting in the Midtown Edmonson neighborhood came in at 12:48 a.m., dispatching Western District police to the scene where they discovered the grim reality of the night's events.
