On July 18, 2022, a tragic incident occurred in Cochran, Georgia, resulting in the death of 2-year-old Yasir Satterwhite. Yasir, an African American toddler, was shot in the head while he was in bed at his home in the Deer Run Apartments. His 4-year-old brother, Tamir Satterwhite, was also shot in the abdomen during the same incident but survived after undergoing surgery.
