On December 30, 2022, Alicia Alston, a 45-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot and killed in Ellenwood, Georgia. The incident occurred at her home on Northwind Drive, where police responded to a call about a person being shot. Upon arrival, officers found Alicia Alston outside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by officers and bystanders to apply pressure to her wounds, she was rushed to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
